Why We Need To Be Taking Health Supplements in Today's World

  In today's world it is so important we take health supplements. Our soils are extremely depleted. The majority of our foods are way over processed and full of pesticides, preservatives and trans fats. Trans fats are made from liquid vegetable oils that are hydrogenated to create a solid. Trans fats are widely used in takeaway foods, margarines, shortening and in processed supermarket foods to increase the shelf-life and to add texture or hardness. Trans fats should be avoided as much as possible. They increase levels of "bad" cholesterol (LDL) and decrease relative levels of "good" cholesterol (HDL). They also cause inflammation and increase the risk of the formation of blood clots within blood vessels. Many other foods we eat come from barn fed animals that are given huge doses of growth hormone, which is very unhealthy.

  It's crucial we have a health plan. Make time to exercise and eat the right foods. Sure, have some high fat carb foods, a beer or glass of wine in moderation. It is all about balance but if you keep on smoking a packet of cigarettes every day, keep piling on the pounds and drinking excessively your body will start to pack up. It may take a few years for it to really cave in (sometimes it can creep up on you over 10 - 20 years, but when it happens, you will seriously regret you didn't take action and better care of yourself sooner). That's why taking health supplements is so important. They give our body the vitamins and nutrients it so desperately needs.
